Prairie Village Community Garden

        The Prairie Village Community Garden was established by the Prairie Village Environmental/Recycling Committee. The committee surveyed residents to determine what type of garden they preferred. As a result an allotment style garden with individual plots was developed. Twenty spaces are located at Harmon Park and another 10-15 plots are located at the partner site, Cherokee Christian Church, both in Prairie Village. All 30 plots available for the 2012 season sold out in about a week.

        Kansas Community Garden Grant funds will be used to purchase a storage structure, watering equipment, signage, soil improvement, and removal of trees.
