Napoleon Boone Garden, Ozawkie, Kansas

The Napoleon Boone Garden is located at the Lakeside Village Improvement District at Ozawkie, Kansas. The garden is named in honor of Napoleon Boone, grandson of Daniel Boone, who was born in the Territory of Kansas in 1828 while his father, Major Daniel Boone, served in the military.

The garden requested funds to build raised beds to overcome the difficulty of locating the garden on a former tennis court area. Funds will also be used to purchase a chipper shredder and to buy supplies that will allow pond water to be used for irrigation purposes.
