Uptown Organic Community Garden

The Uptown Neighborhood Association is developing a community garden on the site of a former house. The goals of the garden are to educate about food sources and organic gardening practices, and to create a community space for the neighborhood. Twenty plots will be available for rent, in addition to a small communal garden. Grant funds were requested to pay for water line connections, a drip irrigation system, a rain barrel system, garden bed construction, shed construction and garden tools.
